Cherry is a developer working to make games accessible and carve out inclusive spaces for disability, mental health, and LGBTQIA+ workers in the games industry. Their role at Ubisoft has them working on several development teams around the world as in-house accessibility specialist. They also support engine and tools teams, QC, and others within the Ubisoft umbrella, as well as write design benchmarks and manage other knowledge sharing and educational initiatives for the accessibility team. Their emphasis on game design forward approaches to accessibility establishes the practice as a core pillar and breaks down the stigma that it should be a “special”, different, or siloed experience for players.
